Steve’s 1994 883 To 1200 Sportster Conversion

Steve sent in this picture of his sweet old school looking Sportster.  It started out as an 883 but was converted to 1200.  I love the old school look of the white wall tires and the matte black against the white and chrome is just bad ass.  Normally i’m not a fan of upswept pipes on bikes with upright shock suspensions but the shorty shocks placed above the pipe pull off the look nicely.  Steve is also in the Air Force in Georgia, thanks for serving your country and sending this fine Sportster to us.  Here’s Steve’s recap of the details.

“It’s a 1994 883 that I put a 1,200 kit in. lowered the frontend as well as the back end. Put mine apes on with wide white wall tires front and back. Custom tank that I had in my spare parts. Moved the rear turn singles forward and lower just to be different? She runs just great and is one really fast little bike! I’ll send you some pictures of my

chopper that I am building when I get it done.

Oh yea one more thing I want to thank the guys at South Georgia Motorcity Cycles in putting her together for me! Thanks to Tim and Bryn for all the great support in this project.”

1996 Buell S-1

Ok it’s not a Sportster but I like Buell’s too so when I received this picture of a great looking 1996 Buell S-1 I had to post it.

I have several Sportsters……two ironheads (projects; a ‘79 dirt tracker and a ‘67 XLH with a ‘78 XLH-1000 motor) and an ‘00 XL-883 with GSXR forks, PM 17″ wheels, widened and + 1.25″ chrome moly swingarm, Koni shocks, ‘99 Buell X-1 Lightning motor. I also dig tuber Buells, especially the ‘96-’98 S-1 Lightnings. Here is a photo of my ‘96 S-1……..

specs:

reupholstered Corbin seat with closed cell foam added to remove the ‘dish’

paint; plain ol’ gloss black

pair of cateye euro headlights

dirt track 32″ wide handlebars

bar end mirror

Forcewinder/K&N air filter

Dynojet kit in carb

Vance and Hines pipe with header wrapped Banke foot controls Penske shock Conti Road Attack radials

I live in the mountains of Virginia. This style bike rocks the backroads and curves.

2000 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Hugger From Scarborough England

Hi…just want to say I love the site and would love to put my bike on here.I’m from Scarborough England.

I bought this 2000 883 hugger 3 years ago.I swapped the tank and fenders for a 2003 anniversary..I have relocated and changed the turn signals and put on a fork brace (helps handing wobbles). The pipes are Screaming eagle 2’s and it has been dyno-jetted and screaming eagle air in . front fender extender to stop the dirt. twin clocks.I made two tool boxes from black cash boxes (no place on Harley’s for tools under the seats yea?)..clear/smoked tail light. Painted bits black so got a more balanced look..(well?….in my opinion)…. Just love this bike and would not change it even I won $1000,000.

Hope you like it and would love some feedback.

Roll on Summer

Steve

2006 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200C With Apehangers

Tony from North Carolina sent in this picture of his 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200C.  I love apehangers and his are higher than most I typically see on Sportsters.  The sprung seat is way cool and the look of the fenderless front end is sweet.  Makes the roadster gas tank look alot better than on most Sportys.

1987 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 To 1200 Conversion

Bud sent in this picture of his 1987 Harley Davidson Sportster which started as an 883 but was punched out to 1200cc’s with an 883 conversion.  This is  a tight bike.  I like the baby apes and fat bob that is porportioned to the rest of hte bike.  The rear grab bar looks great with the quick bob fender and low profile seat.  Looks like he lowered the rear as well.
